Lemon Rasam .


This is a  tangy , enjoyable rasam , you can drink as soup too. Whenever  we get fresh lemon , we   prepare lemon rice, lemon rasam , lemon juice ,,,,  wow   this  has   good medicinal property too .
Ingredients :
 Thur dal  - 1/4 cup
 Salt - to taste
 Tomato - 1
Lemon - 1
Hing-  1/2 tsp
Pepper-  1/4 tsp
Jeeragam - 1/4 tsp
Ginger -  a small piece
Green chilly -1,
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
For tempering - ghee- 1 tsp, kadugu - 1/2 tsp

 Cook the dal , mash it and keep it aside,
In a vessel take   1 1/2 cup of water add chopped tomato, ginger, turmeric powder, salt  allow to boil for   10  minutes , then add the cooked , mashed  dal , add   1/2  a cup of water ,add pepper, jeera allow to froth . Then add the  tadka, , then add the  lemon juice and garnish with fresh coriander leaves, curry leaves , Yummy lemon rasam is ready
