poricha rasam ( no tamarind rasam )

Our  favourite rasam ,  prepared  without tamarind, sometimes  doctors   advised  not to use tamarind during the medications , At that we use  poricha koottus , poricha rasam  for paththiyam . Even  after delivery also we use very  less ( some times   we use  roast  little tamarind   and use it / without tamarind  we use)
 Ingredients:
 Thur dal  -  2 tsp s( cook it in water and mash it)
 Tomato  - 1
 Salt  - to taste
 Rasam powder  - 1 tsp
 Hing   - little
Temper:
Kadugu  - 1 tsp
 Curry leaves, coriander leaves - for garnishing 




 Method :
 Cook the dal and mash it , keep it . In another vessel add water , tomato  cook it for 5 mins, then  remove the tomato , remove the skin and  mash it  add  2 cups of water , rasam powder , salt , hing  and boil it  for  10 minutes , then add the dal water cook for 2 minutes  and add the required  water and allow to froth . Then  temper kadugu  in ghee  add to the rasam , garnish with curry leaves, coriander leaves  and enjoy the poricha rasam with hot rice.
